We chose to enroll our daughters at Tony Williams Dance Studio because of the continued commitment to diversity of students, staff, and dance instruction. Dance is such a reflection of world culture that has the ability to bring people together. Tony Williams’ legacy does just that. Our daughters particularly enjoy and appreciate the Urban Nutcracker. They love the energy, vibrant atmosphere, and opportunity to form friendships with other kids who love to dance like them.The music of Duke Ellington and our daughters performing has become a highlight of the holiday season in our family. It’s such a privilege for the kids to have the opportunity to dance among the professionals. So many of the children are starstruck by the expertise of the instructors and professionals. It is a great learning experience all around.

We started at TWDC when our 12 year old (Ruby) was 7 and wanted to try hip hop. She ended up exploring other classes and fell in love with Tap. She found a friend/dance partner in Logan. She’s added in Jazz, Irish Step and Musical Theatre throughout the years but Tap is her one consistent love.

Her sister (CC) joined when she was 4 in creative dance, then ballet, tap and hip hop. They both love their teachers who motivate and inspire them. They love to perform at the Strand for their friends, family and community.
