[col2]Miranda Cox was born and raised in California. Miranda moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue her master’s degree. She is currently at Lesley University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy. Miranda’s interest lie in movement as a healing modality, which came from her professional dance experience as an Orange County and LA-based dancer. Her journey of being a dancer has influenced her life teaching her self-discipline, expression, body awareness, and hard work. Miranda Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from California State University of Long Beach.
Dance has taken Miranda around the world from Italy, Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and now New England. Her main focus is in classical ballet but was trained in improvisation, contemporary, jazz, tap, lyrical, and classical modern dance. From teaching in studios to schools, Miranda has experience working with all ages of children. Teaching children is one of her many passions. She is also certified in the Hall Method which is a muscle conditioning program integrating ballet and pilates. She is a longtime student of the Hall Method and continued her training throughout her professional career. Miranda is very excited to work at Tony Williams Dance Center where she will be managing the front desk and teaching in the studio.
