Brian Jones-Washburn was born in Providence, Rhode Island and started dancing at the age of 7. Self taught in hip-hop until the age of 15 he auditioned for the Urban Nutcracker and was introduced the world of classical dance. Following his participation in the show he attended Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating in 2011 he returned to the northeast where he began teaching and performing with different companies and studios in and around Boston including Tony Williams Dance Center. After some time away from Boston where he expanded his teaching beyond dance into the realms of martial arts and acrobatics obtaining his 1st degree senior blackbelt in taekwondo, Brian has returned to Massachusetts and is eager to reimmerse himself fully into the world of dance and continuing his training and performance career.
