Sophie Gemeinhardt is the TWDC studio manager. Born and raised in Boston, she first took class at Tony Williams Dance Center in 2012. She then went on to study dance at Boston Arts Academy from 2014-2018. In that time she was in the Urban Nutcracker in 2015 as a soldier and hoopette. In her junior year as a student at Boston Arts Academy, she was invited to, and participated in the Regional High School Dance Festival in Richmond, Virginia. She also danced in multiple roles that year in the school’s production of The Wiz. Throughout her high school experience she participated in multiple summer dance intensives such as American Academy of Ballet: Summer School of Excellence (AAB), and Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts (EMIA). 

Since graduating in 2018 she has worked a variety of front lines customer service jobs, and found an interest in business. Now, as the manager at Tony Williams Dance Center she is able to get back to her roots, while embracing both of her passions, dance and business.
