Pandora Jane grew up on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, dancing at the local studio Rise Vineyard Performing Arts, under the instruction of Jil Matrisciano. From the age of three to eighteen she trained in ballet, contemporary, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics; developing a diverse movement vocabulary and building performance experience locally and throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Pandora is currently working towards her BFA in Contemporary Dance at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, with her tuition covered by the college’s Thrive Scholarship. While studying, she has performed works by Asia Pyron, Daniel Pelzig, Bill T Jones, Jun Kuribayashi, and several student choreographers. Going into her last year of school, Pandora can reflect on her technical and artistic growth, knowing that her curious and open mind has led her to embody many teachings from incredible artists and mentors. She hopes to share her art from a place of honesty to inspire others to be nothing but themselves.
