Kayla Dame was born in Boston Massachusetts and is a dancer, choreographer and educator  holding a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has been involved with Tony Williams Dance Center since she was 11 years old, and also participated in his production of the Urban Nutcracker. This past year, Kayla returned to the production as both a dancer and a rehearsal assistant. To add, Kayla appeared in the music video as both a choreographer and dancer for Luke Bar$ in Yeah Yeah expanding her horizons and accompanied him onstage for his tour Angels Never Die. She also performed on stage alongside Alcina Tran at Tet in Boston and Aliyah’s Interlude at Gay Bash’d Boston. Kayla has taught at OrigiNations Cultural Arts Center,American Dance Training Camp (ADTC) in North Carolina, and as a guest instructor at Bayside School of Dance in East Providence Rhode Island.
